At The Experience, we’re more than just a fitness studio – we’re a community that empowers women to embrace a life of optimal health and holistic well-being. Our mission is to provide a safe space where women, particularly those aged 40 and up, can embark on a transformative journey towards a higher quality of life through integrative fitness and nutrition.

Meet the Coach

Devona McClinton (aka “Coach D”)

Personal Trainer/Holistic Nutrition Consultant

From Personal Journey to Passion & Purpose

Coach D’s fitness journey began after experiencing the loss of multiple family members to heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and addiction. Determined to take control of her health, she embarked on a personal fitness journey that ignited her passion and purpose for life. She thought she was joining a fitness program solely to “lose weight,” believing thinness equaled health. However, she soon realized that true fitness and health encompassed more than a hard body; it required nurturing the mind, body, and spirit to achieve optimal performance in every area of life. True transformation began when all three aspects were aligned.

Healing from the Inside Out

It took Coach D over 30 years to recognize the importance of prioritizing herself and focusing on inner healing. In 2013, after a successful 20+ year IT career, she took a leap of faith to pursue her passion in Health and Wellness. She firmly believes that as women, we tend to prioritize others and neglect our own needs. She advocates, “That’s NOT OKAY!” Weight gain doesn’t happen overnight; it’s a gradual process that often goes unnoticed while we’re busy caring for everyone else. As mothers, wives, career women, and entrepreneurs, it’s time to change this narrative. Coach D’s mission is to inspire women to “CHOOSE YOU,” placing themselves at the top of their priority list, and becoming ageless and limitless.

Empowering Through Nutrition & Strong Minds

The cornerstone of Coach D’s coaching programs revolves around nutrition and building resilient minds. Over the years, she has dedicated countless hours to studying and researching women’s health, with a particular focus on hormone regulation, menopause, thyroid function, and gut health—key factors in weight loss for women over 40. Coach D lives by the motto, “Everything you need to heal your body grows from the earth.” While clients seek her support for weight loss, they receive so much more. Together with each client, she creates programs that promote sustainable lifestyle habits for long-term well-being.
